Canaille's choice 13/5/2012
Although Yung Wu might at first sound like a yummy and spicy appetizer from your local chinese takeout menu, it is actually the name of one of the trio of transparent disguises which the Feelies' Glenn Mercer and Bill Million used during the mid-'80s (along with the Trypes and Willies). Yung Wu released one album, 1987's Shore Leave. A more rootsy affair than the duo's previous take on angular pop, Shore Leave featured a recent Feelies' recruit, drummer Dave Weckerman, as lead vocalist and songwriter, also adding keyboard player John Baumgartner and the Feelies' rhythm section, bassist Keith DeNunzio and drummer Vinny DeNunzio.
Για σένα, Stam.
