Parquet Courts is a band from New York City. At the center of the group is A. Savage, who at this point is known for his collaborations with projects like Fergus and Geronimo, Teenage Cool Kids and Wiccans. Savage is joined by three other musicians (“three quarters Texans and three quarters Pisces” as he tells) and describes the bands’ debut release as The Fall meets Neil Young.

Sugar Factory are Stelreverb (guitars, samples) and Sophie K. (accordion, bass guitar, samples). Inspired by the ad-lib contemporary music and the melodic lines of Greek and foreign artists, they blend 'sweet' melodies while winking at industrialized sounds.

Υποτίθεται ότι θα έβγαινε μαζί με άλλα 3 τραγούδια μετά την αποχώρηση του Chilton από τους Box Tops για τον πρώτο προσωπικό του δίσκο. Κατόπιν πήγε στους Big Star και ο δίσκος δεν κυκλοφόρησε
Τα 4 αυτά τραγούδια συμπεριλήφθηκαν τελικά στη συλλογή "1970" (the "lost album") το 1996.

The Spot was the debut release of Snakefinger on Ralph Records in 1978. Snakefinger, a long-time friend and collaborator of The Residents, was encouraged by the group to record his own material for their label. The Residents co-produced the single, performing backing instrumentation, and the b-side Smelly Tongues is a cover version of a song from the Residents' first album, Meet The Residents.

The Woolen Men are three — two Oregon natives and a Washingtonian. They play punk influenced DIY music in the Pac-NW tradition of Dead Moon and the Wipers. More than a sound or style, that means a kind of work ethic — do-it-yourself and do it a lot. This self-titled album released by Woodsist Records is their debut lp, following a handful of largely self-released eps. The ten tracks here represent five different sessions, and as many songs made the cut as were left behind. The lp was made to endure, with little attention payed to current trends or “in” sounds — what matters to the band is that the songs are well written and executed with integrity. The whole thing was recorded to analog tape.

Bodies of Water started in David and Meredith's closet. They were newly married and lived in a very small house. The closet was the only place to put the computer that they used to record songs. They were content doing this for a while but eventually decided to send these songs out into the world. The first step was to form a musical group. Meredith had never played a piano before but she was willing to give it a shot. She had known Kyle for a decade or so and he decided to try playing the bass. Jessie was a new friend from Arizona who was making a big splash in LA. They all thought that since she was a gifted dancer she would make a good drummer, and so Jessie learned to drum. In the ensuing years, the four have learned to deftly spin those threads which inevitably weave their way through every Bodies of Water song: ebullient group singing, melodic invention, thundering polyrhythms, and sublime dramatic tension.

Ewan Johnson met twin brothers Martin and Fran Baxter whilst living in Leeds. Blending beautiful melodies with simple arrangements and a dark lyrical thread, Birthday Girl create something truly special. End of the Road will be one of their first festival performances, as the band have only played a handful of shows to date.

Born in Bromham, Bedfordshire in 1974, Matt Berry graduated with a degree in Contemporary Arts from Nottingham Trent University, where he regularly performed in several bands. Starting his career as a runner, he then became a presenter for a video game magazine show before concentrating on comedy, landing roles in cult show Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, The Mighty Boosh, and his most famous role, Douglas Reynholm in The I.T. Crowd. Berry continued to juggle his musical ambitions with his TV work, penning the musical theater parody, AD/BC: A Rock Opera, for Channel 4, composing music for Saxondale, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, and sketch show Blunder, and releasing his self-funded debut album, Opium, for free through his website in 2008. After appearing in the films Moon and The Devil's Chair, and hosting his own slot on Absolute Radio, he signed to Acid Jazz Records, where he recorded and played every instrument on his '70s prog-folk/rock-inspired sophomore album, Witchazel. Featuring vocals from Paul McCartney (Rain Came Down), it was released in 2011 on the back of a U.K. tour with his Brighton-based experimental backing band Jonas 3, and a collaboration with the Bluetones' frontman Mark Morriss under the guise of the Swedish Twins.

Formed in the final few months of 2011, PINS began to cause a stir with their debut release - the moody Eleventh Hour backed with the punchier Shoot You - in spring 2012. Self released through their own HAUS OF PINS label as an edition of 50 gold cassettes, it sold out within 2 hours, starting a whirlwind few months that ended with the band signed to Bella Union and with another sought after release under their belts with the LUVU4LYF EP.
Comparisons are often lazily made with other bands, but whilst listing potential reference points is easier, feeling the mood of each song is a lot more rewarding, from the combative eponymous EP opener LUVU4LYF through to the languid heat of You don't need to be and everything in between. PINS debut album will be released in 2013. End Of The Road Festival

The Wizards from Kansas started off in the late 60′s playing festivals alongside other, more well known bands. They have a disc of late 60′s outtakes and alternate versions that are trippier and more psych oriented than the above album, considered as one of the best San Francisco style acid guitar lps. Anyone into the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Youngbloods or H.P. Lovecraft will really appreciate this great, unknown record.

I want it to resonate"… With a full ep Know Me Well due anytime soon this is a name you will want to watch for. It is however back in the UK where the source of Roo’s lyrics lies. A Dorset boy by birth, Roo also spent many family holidays in the awe-inspiring landscape of the Lakeland fells. Snatch and The Poontangs (1969) είναι δίσκος των Johnny και Shuggie Otis με τον Delmar Evans (φωνητικά). Απευθύνεται σε ενήλικες καθώς οι στίχοι είναι σεξουαλικοί.
Johnny Otis (Ioannis Alexandres Veliotes) έχει ποστάρει και η Λένια παλιότερα. Εδώ παίζει όλα τα όργανα με τη συνδρομή του 13χρονου γιου του, Shuggie Otis ως "Prince Wunnerful", στην κιθάρα(!). Ο Shuggie προφανώς είναι μουσικός πλέον. Δυστυχώς δε βρήκα τους στίχους...

Icelandic band Mr. Silla performs Stevie Nicks’ “Wild Heart” live on KEXP. Mr. Silla is a relatively new band from Sigurlaug Gísladóttir (aka Silla), one of the frontwomen of múm, one of Iceland’s most prolific exports. Another Icelandic “supergroup”, Mr. Silla features members of Sin Fang, amiina, Seabear, Kimono and other bands.

Celebrating its anniversary in 2012, Light In The Attic’s 10 year is releasing a series of very special colored vinyl 7”s and digital downloads. The series features contemporary artists covering a track reissued by Light In The Attic on the A-side, plus the original version on the B-side.
On this release, Mark Lanegan applies his tobacco-flavored tones to ‘Same Old Man’, a traditional made famous by the haunting New York singer-songwriter Karen Dalton. What Dalton achieves with the traditional instruments of America (notably her celebrated banjo) in her 1971 arrangement, Lanegan re-imagines with strings, droning Indian tones, sitars and sub-continent-sized production.

Odetta Holmes (1930-2008), known as Odetta, was an American singer, actress, guitarist, songwriter, and a civil and human rights activist, often referred to as “The Voice of the Civil Rights Movement”. Her musical repertoire consisted largely of American folk music, blues, jazz and spirituals. An important figure in the American folk music revival of the 1950s and 1960s, she was influential to many of the key figures of the folk-revival of that time, including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Mavis Staples and Janis Joplin.

The single consists of Burial mixes of Massive Attack’s previously unreleased track “Four Walls” and “Paradise Circus” featured in their 2010 album “Heligoland”.
