Καποιο κρυο βραδυ γυρω στα 50's ο αγαπημενος μας SANTA κατεβηκε στο Μεμφις και βρηκε ενα αγορακι με το ονομα Elvis και του εμαθε αυτο το τραγουδακι!ο SANTA ειχε λησμονησει την κυρα-SANTA(oh my god!!!)και ο μικρος Elvis το λατρεψε και εδω μας το τραγουδα παρεα με την Martina!!!Καλο μηνα και ευχαριστω για τα καλα σας λογια!!!

Καμιά φορά -θυμάσαι και χαίρεσαι που- βρίσκεις κάποιο κομμάτι/κλιπ στο youtube το οποίο αν και ανήκει στα all-time favorites σου, δεν σου είχε σκάσει το φλας να το ψάξεις. Αντιγράφω από wikipedia:
Coldcut's first mainstream success came when a representative from Island Records asked them to remix Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid in Full". The remix featured a prominent Ofra Haza sample and many other vocal cut ups as well as a looped rhythm which, when speeded up, became a staple of the breakbeats genre. After it proved popular in the clubs, this "seven minutes of madness" remix ended up as being promoted as the single in the U.K. Released in October 1987, it became a breakthrough hit for Eric B & Rakim outside the U.S., reaching #15 in the U.K. and the top 20 in a number of European countries. It was voted remix of the year and now is regarded as both a hip hop classic and a breakthrough in the remix field. This remix was itself sampled in "Pump Up The Volume" by MARRS that reached #1 in the UK, also in October 1987.
Δυστυχώς το -κατά τα άλλα- υπέροχο video clip έχει μόνο την μισή διάρκεια του επτάλεπτου remix.

Το From Gainsbourg to Lulu, που κυκλοφορεί σήμερα, είναι ένα άλμπουμ-φόρος τιμής στον Serge Gainsbourg το οποίο επιμελήθηκε ο γιος του (ο Lulu του τίτλου). As Noah Georgeson has been a key associate of both Joanna Newsom and Devendra Banhart, it's no surprise that his debut solo album is eccentric singer/songwriter folk-rock, with the accent on the folk rather than the rock. Fortunately, it's not explicitly reminiscent of either Newsom or Banhart. Instead, it's slightly wacked out Americana, rather in the mold of a 21st century Lee Hazlewood. Like Hazlewood, Georgeson decorates wistful, plaintive folky songs with grandiose instrumentation and an unsettlingly brooding mix of the down-home and the unfathomably strange.
