The Memphis Jug Band was an American musical group in the late 1920s and early to mid 1930s.The band featured harmonicas, violins, mandolins, banjos, and guitars, backed by washboards, kazoo, and jugs blown to supply the bass; they played in a variety of musical styles. Guitarist/singer/songwriter Chris Spedding has been a mainstay of the British session scene since the late 60s, playing with just about everyone (Nucleus, Jack Bruce, John Cale, Elton John, Mike Batt etc). "Songs Without Words" (an instrumental LP that had been recorded in the late 1969 for Harvest Records) was released in 1971 only in Europe and Japan.

Από το υπέροχο score της τηλεοπτικής σειράς Life On Earth του 1979.
Edward Williams' avant-garde score matched the innovative production techniques of the television series. Williams used a combination of traditional orchestral instruments (harp, flute, clarinet, strings and percussion) and electronic sounds. The pieces were crafted scene-by-scene to synchronise with and complement the imagery on screen. The sounds were processed through an early British synthesiser, the EMS VCS 3, to create an evocative sound which Attenborough compared to chamber music. The score was never intended to be released commercially, but Williams had 100 copies pressed as gifts for the musicians involved. One of these LPs found its way into the hands of Jonny Trunk, owner of independent label Trunk Records, who negotiated the licence from the BBC. The soundtrack was finally released on 2 November 2009.
